PSYCHE is the brand new dvd from Posing Productions. Produced by multi-award winning film maker Alastair Lee, incorporating the best of British climbing featuring Steve McClure, Andy Kirkpatrick & Ian Parnell and Lakeland's own ledgendary Dave Birkett.
On SKYE WALL, Dave Birkett goes in search of his dream line in the remote setting of Skye's famous Cuillin Range. This stunning and gripping adventure results in one of the year's most significant first ascents; Skye Wall, Exteme 8 6b (That's jolly hard!)
Dave Birkett chose our song 'Poor Man's Mountain's' to accompany the spectacular shots of him climbing on Skye. Dave tells us that the song sums up the spirit of adventure climbing for him. (Infact, verse one of the song was based on a conversation Mike had with Dave about his climbing exploits.)
We are chuffed and delighted that Dave chose 'Poor Man's Mountains' to accompany him in this film. Dave is arguably the worlds greatest tradtional extreme rock-climber, an inspiration to us mere mortals, but he's also a down to earth, modest bloke with a deep love of his native Langdale Valley and all things Lakeland. We wish Dave and Alistair Lee all the very best for their new film Psyche, we think it relects the British rock-climbing tradition at its very best!
